Pokérus

Pokérus is a harmless status condition that a Pokémon may get.

Obtainment

Pokérus has a small, random chance to be contracted by any Pokémon that is currently within a Party. Once it's been contracted, the Pokémon will have it for exactly 7 days, after which it will wear off, leaving a small immunity symbol () instead. Once a Pokémon has had Pokérus, it cannot get it again.

Effects

Pokérus has no negative effects ^{[probably] [does it have good effects?]} site wise. However, symptoms may include a few of the selection, if not, all:

• Coughing
• Sore Throat
• Sneezing
• Runny Noses
• Exhaustion
• Nausea
• A low-grade fever

Pokérus is highly contagious and may spread through the party, but has not been known to infect Trainers. If it does you should probably go see a doctor because that's either a mutated strain or some other virus. Oh, and if the Pokémon foams at the mouth and starts acting funny, THAT. IS. NOT. POKÉRUS.
