Somewhere off the shores of Caerulean City is a dark, mysterious and gloomy cave. It is inhabited by several strong Pokémon, but most notably is a Pokémon only told in stories; a vengeful Pokémon that resides in the deepest parts of this cave, far from any other Pokémon or Human, and for good reason. There are several different legends that follow this Pokémon; "it hides away to plot its revenge on the scoundrels that have created it!", "it hides away in fear of its own power!", "it's an alien from a different world!", "light hurts it!", "it's afraid of humans!", "it's creating more copies of Shaq Fu for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System!" Who knows what's true or what's not, but the strongest, most talented trainers have told that at night they'd hear a mysterious voice in their head telling them to "test their might" at some strange cave for a reward....

Requirements

For one to battle Mewtwo, one must have certain Pokémon familiar to the region of Kanto:

  • Venusaur
  • Charizard
  • Blastoise
  • Butterfree
  • Pidgeot
  • Raichu

All Pokémon must be level 100, originally owned by you and hatched before whatever date they had previously battled Mewtwo, if you have before. If you do not meet these requirements, Mewtwo will dismiss you and tell you to get lost. If you do, you can head over to the cave and have a battle of fate!

Trivia

  • Some legends have told that if you win, you may get a very special egg to raise...
  • Mewtwo = Giegue change my mind
