[https://poliwager.net/adopt/underwater.php Politoed Pond] is an area on Poliwager Adoptables where you can go for a dive to find Pearls or other [[Items#Valuable Items|Valuable Items]]. Politoed Pond was originally called the Underwater Area, and was added on July 1, 2012[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=787]. On January 28, 2024, fishing was added as an expansion to the Underwater Area and the name was changed to Politoed Pond[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=2761]. Fishing is available to all users, but you will need to purchase [[Items#Key Items|HM08 Dive]] from the [[Poké Mart]] before you can go diving here.

== Diving Underwater ==
Once you have purchased HM08 Dive from the [[Poké Mart|Poké]] Mart, you will be able to dive underwater, once per hour. Each time you dive, you have a chance of finding various items, including Pearls. If you have the Key Item Scuba Gear, you have an increased chance of finding an item each time you go diving.

== Kyogre ==
If you have collected a total of 100 Pearls, you may trade them for a [[Items#Summoning Items|Blue Orb]] that can be used to summon Kyorge.

== Fishing ==
Politoed Pond can be used to fish up [[Items]], [[Berries]], and [[Stickers]] by using Fishing Tickets that you get by interacting with other people's eggs and Pokémon. You get 1 ticket per 25-34 interactions until reaching 1,500 interactions in a day. After that it will take 75-84 interactions for another fishing ticket. You can hold up to 100 Fishing Tickets.

There are three types of rods and five locations to fish in, both of which affect what items you can fish up. You start off with the Old Rod and can unlock the Good Rod and Super Rod by meeting certain requirements that can only be met by fishing.

When you go fishing, a timer appears. The longer you wait, the more likely you will fish something up. Reeling in your rod under 3 seconds results in nothing and Wingull will steal your line if you wait longer than 5 minutes.

== Traveling Fisherman ==
Once a day for 3 hours, a Traveling Fisherman will appear and will ask you if you want to trade with him. He will ask for 10 of a specific Valuable Item*, most of which can be found from fishing, for one of his. He will then leave for the rest of the day if you successfully trade with him. There are three trading pools, standard, legendary, and mythical. Legendary and mythical are more likely to appear between 12am and 12pm.

April Fool's Day is celebrated every year on the first day of April and is the start of Dunsparce Appreciation Month. Additionally, there is usually a fun gag that is disguised as a new feature that is played each year. Poliwager has been celebrating April Fool's Day since 2009.

== Dunsparce Appreciation Month ==
Dunsparce Appreciation Month is a month to celebrate the [[Pokémon]] Dunsparce. An [[Event Ticket]] for Dunsparce and a Dunsparce Carpet is made available every year as well as a Dunsparce being in the [[Lottery Corner|Daily Radiant Rare Lottery]] on April 1. Dunsparce Appreciation Month was first celebrated in 2013[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=1001].

== 2009: Hacked ==
Poliwager was "hacked" by a "hacker" and the site had graffiti written on it in 2009[https://poliwager.net/AprilFools2009_files/aprilfools2009.png].

In 2022[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=2574], a fake event was announced for raising existing [[Pokémon]], thus it was announced that less [[eggs]] would appear on the [[Adopt Page]]. Additionally, hatching a [[Shiny Pokémon]] would disqualify you from receiving a [[Monthly Event|prize egg]] at the end of the month. Ironically, Dunsparce was announced to appear in the lottery everyday for the entire month with increased shiny odds. This was all an April Fool's Day hoax.

== 2023: Poliwager VR ==
In 2023 [https://poliwager.net/clickhere.shtml Poliwager VR] was announced as a feature advertised as giving "a whole new way to experience Poliwager"[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=2683]. Enabling "VR Mode" would cause two hands to appear and shift around along with the site logo and side menus. It can be disabled by changing to another style with the style switcher.

== 2024: New Adopt Page Feature ==
In 2024, there was a new feature advertised as making adopting eggs easier announced[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=2795]. Eggs on the Adopt Page would appear in different sizes and rotation for the entire day. This year the 0.41x multiplier was instead made 4.1x going forward.

== 2025: Big Political AI ==

Instead, users will have to go to your PC page to interact with Pokémon stored in your PC. There are a total of 10 boxes available for each user to use. [[Poliwager Adoptables]] users may unlock [https://poliwager.net/adopt/achievements.php Achievements] by doing various tasks around the site. The first Series of Achievements [https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=2566 were added on March 5, 2022]. There are 220 Achievements to unlock in various different categories. Each Achievement awards a prize item by completing it. Prizes can range from [[Items#Evolution Items|Evolution Items]] to [[Items#Summoning Items|Summon Items]]. Some rewards are exclusively obtained from Achievements such as the Shiny Charm. Users must manually check their Achievements page to see if any have been awarded. The [[Site Stats]] page for Achievements shows the top Achievements, the top users by amount unlocked, and the most recent Achievements that individual users have unlocked.

[[Eggs]] bred from the Day Care Center have a 50% chance of being the lowest evolved form of either parent. Pokémon that are Genderless or have no Egg Group cannot be bred. When you breed two Pokémon you will have an option to breed an egg for yourself or only the [[Pokémon Shelter|Shelter]]. If you bred for yourself, an extra egg will be sent to the Shelter anyways. Multipliers above 2x sends two eggs to the Shelter when bred. After you've bred two Pokémon you will have to wait three hours before you can breed again, or an hour and a half if you have the [[Items#Key Items|Oval Charm]]. Your Last Bred Pokémon will appear at the top of your list of Pokémon.

Pokémon are the creatures that inhabit the world of [[Poliwager Adoptables]]. They come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, rarities, personalities and elemental alignments.

==Obtaining Pokémon==
Pokémon are obtained a few different ways. They can either be adopted from [[Eggs]] on the [[Adopt Page]] or [[Pokémon Shelter|Shelter]], evolved from previous forms, adopted from the Shelter, awarded from [[Items#Summoning Items|Summoning Items]], won from [[Events Page|Events]], found at the [[Game Corner Battle Hideout]], the [[Lottery Corner]], [[Mt. Chimney]], [[Politoed Pond|Underwater Area]], the [[Legendary Number Game]] or the [[Mewtwo Battle]].

==General==
Each Pokémon is hatched from an egg, and has a unique egg description. Once hatched, they will be listed in the "Active" section of the "[[My Pokémon]]" page, starting at Level 1. You can move them around to your party, one of your PC Boxes or back to the Active Pokémon section. You can also release them for others to adopt from the Shelter, but once you release a Pokémon, you can never get that certain one back.

===PC Boxes===
The [[PC]] Boxes are a great way to store and organize Pokémon. There is no limit to how many Pokémon can be placed into each, with 10 boxes to choose from. The boxes can be renamed, usually in accordance to their purpose (i.e: Needing Evolution, Level 100, etc.), or otherwise, just for fun.

===Party===
Your Party is displayed right under the eggs and are usually placed there to be leveled up easily. However, much like the games, there can only be six Pokémon placed in the party.

===Evolution===
Some Pokémon have the ability to evolve. Evolutions have certain requirements to them; getting to a certain level, not being owned by the original user, buying items from the [[Poké Mart]] or earning them from daily rewards. If a Pokémon is capable of Mega Evolution, they will need to be level 100 and have a [[Items#Mega Stones|Mega Stone]] for the correct Pokémon in the inventory.

==Rarities==
As mentioned, Pokémon all come in different kinds of rarities, and the rarer a Pokémon is, the more clicks it will need to be hatched and leveled up, and the harder it will be to obtain.

===Common===
Common Pokémon are, you guessed it, the most commonly found Pokémon. They typically are the quickest to hatch and tend to be very plentiful in the wild. A few examples are Caterpie, Joltik and Skwovet.

===Uncommon===
The Pokémon are slightly less common than Common Pokémon, but generally are still easy to find nonetheless, depending on what it is. Examples include Vulpix, Absol, and Inkay.

===Rare===
These Pokémon take much more clicks to hatch/level up and are much harder to find. However, the chances are slightly easier when the Mystery Counter is broken, or you can buy tickets in the Daily Radiant Lottery. Examples include Torchic, Pawniard and Archen, although certain Rare Pokémon may have to be summoned from items.

===Legendary===
Legendaries in the wild can only be acquired if a summon item was used or if the [[Mystery Counter]] was broken. Otherwise, the person will have to play the [[Legendary Number Game]], Battle Mewtwo, participate in monthly events, buy tickets in the Weekly [[Lottery Corner|Lottery]], visit Mt. Chimney or go diving after a certain number of times. Examples include Reshiram, Articuno and Lunala.

===Ultra Beast===
The main way to get Ultra Beasts is through a special item known as a "Space Ticket". The Space Ticket has a chance of being rewarded from Gold [[Daily Challenges]] after the user reaches 1,000 clicks or 500 views. Examples include Poipole, Pheromosa, and Celesteela.

===Novelties===

== Time ==
Community Weekend takes place once a month over three days - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on [[Server Time]]. The exact date is flexible and is hand-picked each month and can be found in the [https://forums.poliwager.net/viewforum.php?f=51 Poliwager Adoptables Announcements] section of the [[Poliwager Forums]] as well as on the [[Events Page]]. During the Weekend, a notice is placed on the [[Adopt Page]], showing the date, duration and Bonus-type of the event.

== Effect ==
A single Bonus-type will be chosen for a particular Community Weekend. This bonus type can be of any type, though usually they are rotated so that no particular type of Pokémon is over-represented. The type is displayed at the top of [[Poliwager Adoptables]] pages under the Newest Updates section.

During the Weekend, more [[eggs]] of the Bonus-type will appear on the Adopt page, and Bonus-type eggs have a higher chance of hatching shiny. There is also a 2x multiplier applied to the whole site, along with an extra EXP bonus[How big?] for Bonus-type Pokémon and [[eggs]].

After the Weekend is over, Pokémon that received 15, 30, or 50 interactions will receive bronze, silver, and gold [[Medals]] respectively. There are similar Medals for Pokémon that received 15, 30, and 50 views.

== Novarius Haze ==
Novarius (''no-VAIR-ē-us'') Haze is the Guardian of Faireth. Originally from another world, Novarius arrived in Faireth mysteriously. Novarius kept most of his memories of his life in the old world but some were forgotten on arrival. Eventually Novarius was able to receive help from four Huwolves. They provided him with clothes and armour, taught him how to hunt, and leaned how to fight. Eventually Novarius would receive his powers and the world of Faireth will never be the same.

== Guardian Powers ==
Novarius Haze has the power to change into a dark humanoid form with subtle reptilian/draconic features, notably his exposed sharp teeth and claw like nails. In this form Novarius leaks a white wispy substance called brixa from certain parts of his body which resemble white hair. This substance gives him his power and is flows through his entire body in the spaces between molecules. Outside of the body, it becomes a gas like physical substance before quickly evaporating into the air. His body leaks brixa due to an overabundance being generated by his body, which in return gives him stronger powers than most brixa wielders. He cannot use brixa in his human from and will automatically change to his Guardian from when exposed to large amounts of energy or brixa.

Novarius Haze also has the ability to copy powers and energy. This is achieved by being able to convert Pure Brixa, which his body naturally generates, into any type of brixa variant such as Fire Brixa and Metal Brixa. Novarius can only copy a power on contact of it's source, such as a flame or machine, and can only keep it as long as he continues to wield that variant.

Novarius Haze can manipulate the shape and hardness of his fur. In his default form, he can turn them into solid objects such as, but not limited to, blades, gauntlets, or a shield that are still connected to his body, most commonly by the wrists. His favourite weapon is arm blades. In other forms his manipulation of his fur has different limitations or abilities. When wielding fire he can’t create solid weapons but can shoot fire and while wielding metal he can create blasters and energy blades.

== Trivia ==

*The concept of Novarius Haze was first developed as a child. Unamused by stereotypical powers, [REDACTED] created a superpower that allowed him to basically have any power by being able to copy other people's powers or copying from a source directly, but couldn’t keep the copied power permanently for balance.

* The first design of Novarius Haze was a white blob like character with red and blue "veins" (inspired by a jewel puzzle game) that moved inside his body. this character can then change into a more humanoid form, with some exceptions, when copying a power. Some of these forms were inspired by Ben 10 characters notably Heatblast.
** The next version wasn't recreated until High School when [REDACTED] wanted a more interesting character design and name to be associated with. The first draft was inspired by his favourite Pokémon Darkai. A new version was made when he realized the previous design looked too much like Darkrai. The second version still looked like a Pokémon so a third version was created that looked more humanoid and less Pokémon like. This version introduced the concept of the brixa fur, originally portrayed as more spikey. The fourth version cleaned some of the design and made the brixa more wispy and only portrayed it as white in contrast to his black skin. The current version is only a headshot and was made with photo editing software. A new full body image has yet to be made.
*The origin of the name “Novarius Haze” was developed during the third draft of the character’s design. [REDACTED] wanted something original and new so he invented the title “Drakus Novarius”. The suffixes were designed to make it more ancient sounding while the prefixes where chosen to give a strong and mysterious sound to the name.
**Upon using Google to verify the originality of the name, it was revealed “Drakus” was already used for an old cartoon villain. Not wanting to be associated with such character, “Drakus” was dropped and “Novarius” was kept as the character’s name.
**While making a Twitter account with the name “Novarius”, it was revealed it was already taken. Not wanting to give up the name, a new surname was given. Not wanting to go through the effort of creating another word from scratch, an existing word was added. The word “Haze” was quickly thought of, which sounded cool and thematically matched the character in reference to his wispy brixa fur, thus Novarius Haze was born.

Novelty Pokémon

[https://poliwager.net/adopt/dex.php#nov Novelty Pokémon] are special [[Pokémon]], with most being exclusive to [[Poliwager Adoptables]]. They are similar to Regional Variants but instead are usually based on holidays or community memes. Some are simply based on Special Event Pokémon in the Main Series games. Most Novelty Pokémon cannot be [[Day Care Center|bred]] so they usually can only be obtained on or around said holiday while others can be found during a specific [[Seasons|Season]] or from a [[Secrets|secret method]].

== Birthday Poliwag ==
Birthday Poliwag was the first Novelty to be added to the site. The only significant difference is that the Birthday Poliwag line have party hats and Birthday Poliwag evolves at level 30 instead of 25.

Birthday Poliwhirl was finally added on October 19, 2024 along with its evolutions Birthday Poliwrath and Birthday Politoed on October 24, 2024.

It can be obtained on a [[Poliwager]] Anniversary and on [[User:Slix|Slix]]'s and [[User:Evergreenn|evergreenn]]'s birthdays.

== Easter Happiny ==
Easter Happiny was designed by former Moderator Pirate in April 2011.. It was originally made with only two eggs due to them being "Too lazy to add a third egg in the back at the moment."[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=299] A third egg was added shortly after and the colors were changed. In the end, the original sprite was reused as the [[Shiny Pokémon]] sprite. Easter Happiny is one of a few Novelties to have external objects around the sprite, as seen with its Easter Eggs. It is the first to have a different color for both the standard and shiny.

It currently cannot evolve.

It can be found spawning on the [[Adopt Page]] for multiple days leading up to Easter.

== Ghost ==
Ghost was added on October 28, 2011[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=535]. Ghost is a Novelty that uses the sprite of the Ghost that you meet in the Pokémon Tower in the Gen 1 games. The shiny sprite that is used is the design of Ghost from FireRed and LeafGreen.

Ghost spawns in October for multiple days leading up to Halloween.

== Halloween Spiritomb ==
Halloween Spiritomb is a Spiritomb with a Halloween themed color palette. The shiny uses inverted colors of Halloween Spiritomb.

It is normally obtained from an [[Event Ticket]] on Halloween.

Halloween of 2024 had the first ever Halloween Spiritomb Outbreak.

== Valentines Squirtle ==
Valentines Squirtle is one of the few Novelties to have a gender difference with Valentines Squirtle's two forms making a complete heart as seen in the [[Pokédex]]. Besides the half heart that each hold, the only other differences are the bows they wear and the gender ratio being equal rather than 88% male.

It currently cannot evolve.

Valentines Squirtle can be obtained on Valentines Day on the Adopt Page.

== Springtime Sandshrew ==
Springtime Sandshrew was the first Seasonal Novelty and the first Novelty capable of evolution and to have a different type from the base form, being part grass type as well as ground. It can evolve into Springtime Sandslash at level 22. The only visual difference from the regular Sandshrew line is the color.

Springtime Sandshrew originally spawned on the Adopt Page during the Northern Hemisphere spring months, but was later changed to site's monthly change of seasons, spawning in Spring.

== Christmas Tropius ==
Christmas Tropius has significant changes to its sprite. Not only does it have red on its wings and head but its wings also have a Christmas lights pattern. Unique to this version of Tropius is the addition of snow under its feet. The shiny changes the green to blue and adds a Cossack Cross on its chest. Christmas Tropius's type is Grass/ice instead of Grass/Flying.

Christmas Tropius appears on the Adopt Page for a few days around Christmas.

== Winter Tangela ==
Winter Tangela was designed by member poltergeistforever and was added when they won the Novelty Spriting Competition 2016. It is more wooden in appearance such as the addition of its horns, and has ice and red ornaments. It gains the ice typing in this form.

It currently cannot evolve.

Winter Tangela spawn on the Adopt Page during the site's Winter season.

== Fossil Aerodactyl ==
Fossil Aerodactyl, like Ghost, uses sprites from the Main Series games that are not official Pokémon. The main sprite is from Red and Blue while the shiny is from Japanese Red and Green.

It currently cannot Mega Evolve.

Fossil Aerodactyl can be obtained by summoning it from an Old Amber.

== Cap Pikachu ==
Cap Pikachu are based on same Pok in the Main Series games. As such they can't evolve and are also exclusively male as they as based on Ash's Pikachu. The only difference is it has a proper shiny sprite since shiny Cap Pikachu in the Main Series games have no difference. There are 8 different Cap Pikachu.

One Cap Pikachu, in order, are obtained from an Event Ticket each day leading up to Pokémon Day.

== Spiky-Eared Pichu ==
[[Spiky Eared Pichu|Spiky-Eared Pichu]] is based on a special Pichu you can obtain exclusively in HeartGold and SoulSilver. It shares the same characteristic of being only female and unable to evolve, although its shiny is obtainable on Poliwager in contrast to it being shiny locked in the Main Series games.

Spiky-Eared Pichu can be summoned from a Light Ball, potentially obtained from getting 1,000 or more interactions in a day.

== Big Political ==
[[Big Political]] is a Novelty created by moderator [[Oshi]]. It was originally planned to be a room item called the Big Poliwag Doll, but an autocorrect changed the name to Big Political which became a meme and eventually influenced Slix to make it a Novelty. Because of its largeness, it takes twice as many steps to hatch than a normal Poliwag. Its shiny is green instead of light blue. It is seen as a secondary mascot on the site.

It currently cannot evolve.

Big Political can be obtained from a Secret Method.

== Land Poliwag & Surf Sentret ==
Land Poliwag & Surf Sentret are special as they are the only Novelties capable of breeding. Their designs are mostly a swap of their normal forms including type, color, egg group, and tail, with the exception with Land Poliwag being Ground Type and its shiny being pink instead of lighter. They were made by Oshi.

They currently cannot evolve.

They are obtained from the shelter as [[Poliwrath (Bot)|Poliwrath]] breeds them occasionally.

== Kimono Victini ==
Kimono Victini is a Novelty created by Oshi and was inspired by one of his favourite Pokémon and his love of Japanese culture. The shiny colors is based on his Victini OC.

Kimono Victini is obtained from an Event Ticket on New Year's Day.

== Thunderstorm Emolga ==
Originally created by Oshi as a Mega Emolga, [[Thunderstorm Emolga]] was revived as a Novelty instead. It was added a full month before it was obtainable. It was inspired by Oshi's favorite Pokémon. The standard sprite differs from its shiny by having angry eyes rather than Emolga's friendly eyes.

Thunderstorm Emolga is available during the month of May.

== Can't Emolga ==
Can't Emolga was inspired by Oshi's attempt to shiny hunt Emolga but ended up being unsuccessful for a long time. This prompted him to joke that he "Can't Emolga" a shorten version of saying "I can't get a shiny Emolga" which led to a site meme.

The design was determined from The Great Can't Emolga Design Contest in January 2022-April 2022[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=2556]. Winners received a Shiny Can't Emolga and member AwesomeTrains had their design sprited by Oshi[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?p=61564#p61564]. The stop sign with an "X" symbolizes the feeling of "Can't Emolga" while the shiny having a green check mark is the opposite since if you have the shiny then you "Can Emolga."

Can't Emolga is an Electric/Fighting type because it wants to.

Can't Emolga can be obtained on Emolga Day on May 15 as an Event Ticket.

== Flying Pikachu ==
Flying Pikachu is based on a sprite from Pokémon Dash. The Female and shiny sprites were edited by Oshi. Unlike Flying Pikachu in the official games, it is Electric/Flying type, the same as Emolga. It's dex entry is from the TCG card game as it doesn't make sense if applied to the Main Series. It currently cannot evolve as Flying Raichu isn't seen in media.

Flying Pikachu is obtained from a hard to find Secret Method. Only a few have found it.

== Autumn Turtwig ==
[[Autumn Turtwig]] and its evolutions were the first Novelties from member [[User:Novarius Haze|NovariusHaze]] to be added to the site. The colors were changed to autumn orange and the leaves were changed to maple leaves. Autumn Torterra also has rocks in the shape of pumpkins and subtle cracks on its shell. The shiny was chosen based on the most attractive colors resulting in purple and light blue. Autumn Turtwig is Grass/Ground in reference to leaves falling to the ground and Autumn Torterra is Grass/Rock due to becoming very dry that its soil solidifies.

Autumn Turtwig was inspired by NovariusHaze's first Pokémon and the Canadian flag.

Autumn Turtwig can be obtained during Poliwager's Autumn season.

== Clover Flabébé ==
Clover Flabébé and its evolutions were designed by member NovariusHaze. The main difference is that they have a clover and are now Fairy/Grass type. Clover Florges gains changes to its design by having more golden-yellow in it, that becomes light blue in its shiny complimenting its purple color. Unlike regular Flabébé's flower, Clover Flabébé's clover has a different color when shiny.

Clover Flabébé spawns on St. Patrick's Day.

== Earth Azurill ==
Earth Azurill and its evolutions were designed by member CartoonAnimalGamer with help from member NovariusHaze who also created the sprites. Earth Azurill sits on top of an Earth which is on the end of its tail. When given the Moon Stone, Earth Marill's tail becomes the moon and its body becomes the Earth. Then when given the Sun Stone, Earth Azumarill's ears, arms, and legs become space with visible stars. The shiny version of the Earth Azurill line are based on Mars. Its typing Water/Ground is based on Earth's sea and land.

Earth Azurill can be found on the Adopt Page on Earth Day.

== Summer Bergmite ==
Summer Bergmite and its evolution was an idea by memeber XaiEia and designed by member NovariusHaze. It was simply based on the portmanteau "Avaluggrill." Its design changed to have a grill on its head or back while it cooks Slowpoke Tails and its body becomes metal and glowing hot. Its type was completely changed from Ice to Steel/Fire.

Summer Bergmite spawns during the sites Summer season.

== Trivia ==

* The Dex numbers of Novelty Pokémon is a reference to the English dub of Dragon Ball Z when Vegeta says, "It's over 9000!" when scouting the power level of series protagonist Son Goku.
* Despite the original forms of Easter Happiny, Halloween Spiritomb, Springtime Sandshrew, and Springtime Sandslash having a gender or genders, these Novelty are genderless.
** Fossil Aerodactyl was also changed to genderless but only the skeleton remains so its gender was lost when it died.

* Easter Happiny, Ghost, Christmas Tropius, Fossil Aerodactyl, Thunderstorm Emolga, and Can't Emolga have shiny sprites that are different besides just the color.

Politoed Pond was originally called the Underwater Area, and was added on July 1, 2012[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=787]. On January 28, 2024, fishing was added as an expansion to the Underwater Area and the name was changed to Politoed Pond[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=2761]. Fishing is available to all users, but you will need to purchase [[Items#Key Items|HM08 Dive]] from the [[Poké Mart]] before you can go diving here.

== Diving Underwater ==
Once you have purchased HM08 Dive from the [[Poké Mart|Poké]] Mart, you will be able to dive underwater, once per hour. Each time you dive, you have a chance of finding various items, including Pearls. If you have the Key Item Scuba Gear, you have an increased chance of finding an item each time you go diving.

== Kyogre ==
If you have collected a total of 100 Pearls, you may trade them for a [[Items#Summoning Items|Blue Orb]] that can be used to summon Kyorge.

== Fishing ==
Politoed Pond can be used to fish up [[Items]], [[Berries]], and [[Stickers]] by using Fishing Tickets that you get by interacting with other people's eggs and Pokémon. You get 1 ticket per 25-34 interactions until reaching 1,500 interactions in a day. After that it will take 75-84 interactions for another fishing ticket. You can hold up to 100 Fishing Tickets.

There are three types of rods and five locations to fish in, both of which affect what items you can fish up. You start off with the Old Rod and can unlock the Good Rod and Super Rod by meeting certain requirements that can only be met by fishing.

When you go fishing, a timer appears. The longer you wait, the more likely you will fish something up. Reeling in your rod under 3 seconds results in nothing and Wingull will steal your line if you wait longer than 5 minutes.

Once a day for 3 hours, a Traveling Fisherman will appear and will ask you if you want to trade with him. He will ask for 10 of a specific Valuable Item*, most of which can be found from fishing, for one of his. He will then leave for the rest of the day if you successfully trade with him. The Mystery Counter is a daily feature on [[Poliwager Adoptables]]. The Mystery Counter was added sometime in 2011[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?t=503]. If enough activity on the site is reached, the Mystery Counter will break. The day after the Mystery Counter breaks, there will be various bonuses for everyone on the site. The [[Site Stats]] page shows a text description of how far along the Mystery Counter is.

Two bonuses occur on the site the day after the Mystery Counter was broken. A 2x [[Multiplier]] is applied for the entire day and Legendary [[Pokémon]] start to spawn on the [[Adopt Page]]. The Legendary Pokémon that spawn are determined by the current [[Seasons|Season]] on the site. They have a low chance to spawn at every 15-minute interval starting at [[Server Time|12:00 am]].

Most of this is quite self-explanatory I want to say, but if I am wrong later you can hit me with a chair. Once you got all of that entered, and put in the secret bot-preventing "Confirmation of registration" code that I legally cannot say here, you will now be able to edit your profile! Editing your profile is easy. After you log in or make your profile, you can click on the drop-down menu by your name to see all the fun options just ready for you. '''Profile -''' This lets you see all of your profile! It includes your info you entered for profile creation, your stats, and your signature!

'''User Control Panel''' - This links to some of the other tabs you could click on. This lets you edit your profile, board preferences (like themes), private messages, the user groups you are in, and your friends and foes (foes are blocked users).

'''Edit Signature''' - Now this lets you edit the block of text that appears under your post. Most of the time people like to put their Adoptables Pokémon here. Or you can put anything here that floats your boat. As a secret tip from me, you can spoil your adoptable Pokémon, so they don't take as much space up!

== History ==
Poliwager Forums was started on April 10, 2009 as a companion forum to [[Poliwager]]. Originally, Poliwager Forums was hosted using a free forum website hosting provider. On November 27, 2010[https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=90], Poliwager Forums moved to the [https://poliwager.net Poliwager.net] domain. Unfortunately this meant that the entire forum needed to be started from scratch, but users and moderators worked to add topics from the old domain to make the transition smoother. Poliwager Forums has gone through a few [https://forums.poliwager.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1277 design changes], and has primarily kept the blue and white theme since its start.

Over the years, Poliwager Forums has hosted many contests and giveaways for users, including Fan Fiction Contests, Art Contests, and giveaways for Poliwager [[Merch Store|Merch]].
